Tidal Zones

In Tidal Zones, I explore intertidal zones, including wetlands, marshes, swamps, and mudflats. I look for natural abstractions in the landscape, rhythms, layers of light, patterns, and textures, which both reveal and hide the complexity of nature. Though often quiet, unassuming landscapes, these fragile ecosystems hold the fates of our water supply, systems of plants, and countless species of animal life.
