The Azores 

This series of images is from the Azores, an archipelago of nine islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The Azores offer a unique glimpse into an ecological world that has changed little in thousands of years. Formed by volcanoes, the islands have active geothermal areas and verdant land for growing diverse crops such as tea and pineapples.
