Seward's annual salmon derby attracts fishermen from all over the United States. At the end of each day, the fish are weighed, the boat captains line up at spotless filet stations to clean and prepare the fish for their customers. The filets are then frozen and vacuum-packaged for shipping to the lower forty-eight states.
